Moulded FRP Grating (GRP Open Mesh)
One-piece moulded FRP/GRP grating with 38 × 38 mm mesh, most often in 3660 × 1220 mm panels and 25–50 mm depths. Gritted or concave anti-slip surface, polyester or vinyl ester resin.

Moulded grating is the workhorse FRP product: walkways, platforms, trench covers, bund floors and stair landings in plants where steel corrodes. The 3660 × 1220 mm panel with 38 × 38 mm mesh is the most widely used configuration worldwide, and the same mesh is available in several depths so one system covers light pedestrian decks and heavier maintenance areas.
Specifying it correctly: choose depth from the manufacturer’s load/deflection table for your clear span and load (uniform or concentrated), then select resin for the chemical exposure and a surface for the slip risk. Deflection — not breaking strength — usually governs.
We supply standard panels, mini-mesh versions for small-object and heel protection, and panels cut to your drawings with edge sealing.

Continuous glass-fibre roving in thermoset resin (polyester or vinyl ester), UV inhibitors, optional fire-retardant additives and quartz grit.

Frequently asked questions
Which depth do I need for a 1 m span?
Use the load/deflection table: pick the depth that keeps deflection within the limit set by your specification under the design load. Send span and load and we will quote the matching depth.
Is moulded grating slip resistant?
Gritted surfaces give high slip resistance in wet and oily conditions; concave surfaces are a compromise between grip and cleanability.
How are panels fixed?
With stainless steel clips to the support steel or FRP profiles. Clip type depends on the support flange.
