Foldable large containers (FLC) carry components between suppliers and assembly plants and fold flat for the empty return, which is where most of their cost advantage comes from. Drop doors in one or two long sides give access to parts without destacking.
For the common 1200 × 1000 × 975 mm class, published data for a leading European design lists about 847 l capacity, a 750 kg maximum load per container and 3,200 kg static stacking load — use these as orientation and compare against the test data of the exact container we quote.
We source FLCs on 4-way-entry bases with runners or feet, with one or two drop doors, lids, and options for label holders and RFID.

We supply material and substance declarations from the manufacturer; operating the reuse system and the declaration as “manufacturer” under PPWR remain with the party placing the packaging on the market.

How much space do folded FLCs save?
It depends on the design; folding ratios are given in each model’s data sheet and drive the return-freight saving.
Are FLCs compatible with automated conveyors?
Many are; check base design (runners vs. feet) against your conveyor and racking before ordering.
Can you supply dunnage?
Yes — foam, fabric or vacuum-formed inserts can be designed to your part drawing.
