Every hole in a roof membrane is a future leak. Non-penetrating supports sit on the roof and use their own weight and footprint to carry pipework, condensate lines, conduit, cable tray and light equipment frames. Bases moulded from recycled tyre rubber resist UV, rot and water, and accept standard strut channel and pipe clamps.
Designs range from single-base blocks for pipes (published around 750 lb per base for some models) to H-frames that bridge two bases for larger duct and equipment runs. Some manufacturers design bases so the bearing pressure stays below about 2 psi.

They are designed for membranes, but compatibility varies (e.g. some PVC membranes). Confirm with the roofing manufacturer and use a slip sheet where required.

Do they need fixing to the roof?
No — they are held by weight and friction; wind-exposed sites may need additional ballast per design.
