Heat Pump Condensate Drain Pans (Passive)

Air-source heat pumps produce several litres of water when the evaporator condenses and defrosts. Without a plan, that water ends up on paving, walls or a neighbour’s path — and freezes in winter. A drain pan under the outdoor unit collects it and leads it through an outlet to a drain or soakaway.

Pans are sized by the unit footprint and foot spacing: seller data shows size classes from roughly 82 × 39 cm for small split condensers up to about 100 × 47 cm for larger units. Galvanised steel with welded corners is the common material; stainless and aluminium are used for coastal or premium installs.

What we supply: passive pans (no electrical parts) in standard size classes and to drawing, with drain spigot, hose adapter and mounting options that match our feet and stands. Heated pans with integrated heating cables are excluded — they need electrical conformity that a passive-parts supplier should not imply. In frost-prone locations the drain line must be designed frost-free by the installer (German practice: at least 2 % fall into a frost-free area or trace heating).
