FRP handrail systems combine pultruded tubes with moulded or stainless connectors to build guardrails for platforms, stairs and tank tops. They are non-conductive, need no painting and are assembled with hand tools.
Load requirements depend on the standard and use: industrial guardrails to EN ISO 14122-3 and OSHA 1910.29 are commonly checked against horizontal line loads, and typical GRP round-tube systems achieve roughly 0.36 to 0.74 kN/m depending on post spacing and detailing. Post spacing for 50 mm systems is normally 1.5–2.0 m, closer for higher loads.
We supply complete kits — posts, rails, knee rails, toe boards, connectors and base plates — from a drawing or a run-length take-off. Compliance with a particular standard is confirmed only with the manufacturer’s test data for the exact configuration.

Is FRP handrail as strong as steel?
Correctly designed FRP systems meet industrial guardrail loads, but at closer post spacing than steel. The manufacturer’s tested configuration defines the limits.
